Avrupa ülkelerinin hukuk sistemlerinin temelinde bulunan Roma hukukunun önemini ve Roma’dan gelen hukuk kurumlarının tarihi gelişimini açıklar.
Roma hukuku kurumlarının neden ve nasıl doğduğunu tespit etmek için öncelikle Roma Devletinin siyasi ve hukuk devirlerini inceler.
Modern hukukları önemli oranda etkilemesi nedeniyle Roma Borçlar Hukukunun ortaya koyduğu temel kural ve prensipler ile Roma Hukuku kurumlarını ve günümüz hukukuna etkisinin anlatır. Özellikle taşınır hukuku açısından önem taşıyan Eşya Hukuku kurumlarını (mülkiyet, zilyetlik, irtifak, rehin) ve Roma Usul Hukukunu açıklar.

(Roman Private Law )
The Private Roman Law compulsary courses aim the explahation of the importance and the historical development of the Roman Law which shapes the f+undamentals of the legal system of the Europian countries.
The course also studies the political and legal ages of the Roman State in order to determine the cause and stages of the shaping up of the Roman institutions.
Since the Roman Obligations Law has strongly influenced the modern law systems, the modern law sytems analyze the fundemental principles of the Roman obligations law, the Roman law institutions and the affects of those to today’s law. The Roman (Obligations) Law Courses also explain the property law institutions (i.e. property, possession, easement, pledge) that are significant for especially “ res mobiles” (movable property) law and the roman Procedural Law.
